International Apostille Services
The cost of the Apostille service depends on your timeline and how quickly you need the document Apostilled for use in another country. It also depends on the country of use. For example, if you need a document Apostilled for use in Ethiopia then that is not possible as Ethiopia is one of a handful of countries that is not a member of the Hague Apostille convention. This would require a different certification service, which is the other related Embassy Legalization service we offer.
If the country of use is a member of the Hague convention then we can Apostille your document. The Apostille service can be completed as quickly as 24 hours or between 1x and 3x business days. Our Standard Apostille Service takes rougly 2x weeks to complete. Our Rush Apostille Service takes between 1x and 3x business days. And our Same Day Rush Apostille Services is completed in 24 hours.
The Standard Apostille Service costs $150 and takes roughly 1x-3x weeks to process. The Rush Apostille Service costs $195 and takes between 1x and 3x business days to process. And our Same Day Rush Apostille Service costs $250 and takes roughly 24 hours to process. Any additional documents being processed through the same government agency are charged $95 each. Please note these fees do not include county, state or federal government fees. The average government processing fee is $50. Return mailing fees are also not included. If you need documents shipped internationally the additional cost is on average around $85. These additional fees will be added to your invoice after you submit your request. Also - if you need any documents to be translated the cost is $55 per page on average or roughly $.40 per word. Any federal document or certified document being processed through the federal government or US State Department takes 1x-2x weeks to process.
Embassy Legalization Services
How much do Embassy Legalizations cost?
Embassy Legalizations are specific requests to certify documents for use abroad or in another country outside of the United States. They are certifications for countries that are not members of the Hague convention. If a country requires your document to be legalized for use in another country that typically entails getting that document filed and certified through various government agencies. If your document is a personal document or an academic document or a state issued document then the document will likely have to be processed at the state level, the federal level, and finally with the country's embassy or consulate. ALMA helps expedite this entire process for you and gives you peace of mind.
If your state issued document or personal document or academic document has NOT been certified at the State level and requires an Embassy Legalization, then you will need to submit either a Standard State Service, which takes roughly 6x to 8x weeks to process, or you will need to submit an Expedited State Service, which takes between 4x to 6x weeks to process. These Embassy Legalization services will get your documents government approved for use abroad. Please also note there is a slight chance these documents might require a County certification. This will ultimately depend on the type of document being submitted (e.g. Divorce Decree).
If you already have a document that has been state certified or a document issued by the federal government, then you will only need to submit a Federal Embassy Service. The Federal Embassy Service includes certifying your document through the appropriate Federal Government Agency and the other country's Embassy or Consulate. The Federal Embassy Service takes between 3x to 5x weeks to process.
The Standard State Service costs $395. The Expedited State Service costs $695. The Federal Embassy Service costs $295. Any additional documents being processed under any of these Embassy Legalization services are charged $195 extra.
Please note expedited processing times vary by Non-Hague country. Each Non-Hague country has different legalization requirements.
Certified Translations
If you need documents translated, the translations are $55 per page on average, which is roughly $.40 per word. We can provide you with the certified translations via email and/or ship the physical copies to you if needed. Many countries around the world require certified translations of documents before they can be processed. Some countries take it a step further and require translations only through their approved translation agencies. If needed, we can coordinate with the proper channels in order for your translations to be approved by these select Embassies.
